Abstract:

"TITLE OF TITULATION WORK PERFORMED" ASTHMA CRISIS IN PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY. ACCORDING TO DOWNLOAD SCALE IN GUAYAQUIL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BETWEEN 2014-2015 Author: Mirtha Lissette Vera Guerrero Tutor: Dr. Yungaicela Castro Mayra SUMMARY It is the chronic disease with the highest prevalence in the pediatric age, with high morbidity. It is an important cause of use of hospital services, being the main cause of hospitalizations due to chronic illness in childhood, and responsible for a high socio-sanitary cost. (1) The purpose of the research is to analyze the asthmatic crisis using the Downes scale, in patients from the University Hospital of Guayaquil in the period 2014-2015, so it is expected to update information on this pathology of great demand in the hospital and to provide recommendations that will serve to elaborate Strategies to prevent complications and minimize the negative impact of this pathology. Through a descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study, the frequencies and complications of the asthmatic crisis in the pediatric emergency area of the university hospital of Guayaquil, of the patients treated during the period 2014-2015 will be analyzed.
