Criterios de elección en cesáreas, estudio a realizarse en la Maternidad Matilde Hidalgo de Procel año 2016


Abstract:

Introduction: Caesareans worldwide are performed in a high percentage in recent years. In the Ecuador, 2014, the MSP cesarean only rate was 41.2%, and in the year of 57%. Objectives: To identify the criteria of choice in cesarean sections, in the Maternity Matilde Hidalgo de Procel year 2016 Materials and methods: The study will be carried out with a retrospective, observational, quantitative and descriptive design. Analysis plan and universe of study: clinical histories of pregnant women with cesarean diagnosis. Variables: total number of births, total number of cesareans that were classified according to obstetric criteria, obtaining a database. Additionally, information on the associated maternal pathologies was obtained. Results: Reveal that in the period 2016 8,842 births were registered, of which 4,721 were by cesarean section that is to say that it had an incidence of 53%. Between the obstetrical indications the highest percentage corresponds to previous Caesarean section 41%, Presentation dystocia 20%, Lack of progression of childbirth 13%, Acute Fetal suffering 6%, Cephalopelvic disproportion 5%, Pregnancy Gemelar 5%, Funicular Dystocia 4%, Placental Abruption 3% and Placenta Previa 3%. Conclusion: Persistent increase in cesarean sections in relation to previous years, gynecological obstetricians must be meticulous at the time of the evaluation and allow for those pregnant who have a vaginal delivery, to reduce the high rate of cesarean section.
