APPROACH TO QUALITY INDICATORS IN A STUDY OF THE MIKARIMIN JOURNAL

Abstract:

The scientific journal Mikarimin, created in 2015 at the Santo Domingo headquarters, has disseminated the scientific production of the University. In seven years of publishing scientific results, researchers have wondered about the transcendence that Mikarimin has had from evaluating some parameters. In this research, its creators set out to describe the impact of the journal Mikarimin since its establish¬ment to disseminate results that are related to the careers of UNIANDES University. This evaluation of the scientific production reflected in the journal would allow the tracing of new policies in other issues in the future. In addition, it gave an appreciation of how much research has progressed at UNIANDES Santo Domingo and its recognition elsewhere. The study was established through a mixed design with a descriptive, argumentative and retrospective study of the subject through interpretation and comparison since the observed variable was centered on the Mikarimin impact. For the analysis, the researchers used several empirical methods such as bibliographic analysis, as well as direct observation, measurement was also used to assess the impact of Mikarimin publications in different countries of the region and the world and the use of statistical techniques and methods to establish comparisons. As a result, the journal has maintained its indicators and reached an index lower than 9.5, which places it in group D of the publications table. In conclusion, the databases and how readers access scientific articles were evaluated.
