Critical Factors of Business Adaptability During Resilience in Baños de Agua Santa, Ecuador, Due to Volcanic Hazards
Abstract:
Resilience is understood as dynamic learning ability, self-organization, and adaptability of a system, when affected by unforeseen events. Therefore, we focused on business dimension of resilience and establishes a methodology based on Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process in order to determine the incidence of five analysis criteria that related to: business vision, opportunity entrepreneurship, business environment, company behavior disaster response and female entrepreneurship. This accomplishment is immersed in the adaptability of the areas affected by potential natural disasters, applied in a touristic town of Ecuador. Our results present an assessment of the resilience of business system, while identifying how these factors contributed to its adaptability.
