Crossantigenicity in bovine brucellosis
Abstract:
To determine the possible induction of crossantigenicity reactions, forty [40] non castrated bulls between 12 and 14 months age and tested serologicaly free of Brucellosis (without tittles) were assigned in groups of 10 each one to four treatments: Levamisole 7.5% in immunemodulator doses; Concentrated Triple Bacterin (Clostridium chauvoei, Clostridium septicum, Pasteurella multocida); foot and mouth disease oil vaccine (serogroups O-1 and A(24)) and control. Slide Agglutination Test (SAT), Tube Agglutination Test (TAT), and 2- Mercaptoetanol test (ME) were performed 30, 60 and 90 days after treatment. Animals with tittles (reactors) were seen in each group and date, these tittles fluctuated through the assay, specially in SAT and TAT. None animal was reactor in ME. There was not significant association (P > .05) between any treatment and reactors. It was concluded, that the treatments here employed do not …
