Cultura ambiental de los educandos de la escuela ciudad de santa rosa y su incidencia en la preservación del agua
Abstract:
The term environmental awareness encompasses several elements, among which water occupies a privileged place; the importance of this resource, is undeniable and indisputable, for this reason within the political and social debate is a neuralgic issue, however, although it is "fashionable" to speak of environmental awareness, the scarcity of some resources, such as water, for example, it is also a current discourse. The integrating project "Environmental Culture in the students of the School city of Santa Rosa, and its incidence in the preservation of water", is developed with the objective of analyzing the environmental culture of the children of this educational institution, from their habits and behaviors in the face of water protection; and, as an effect of the analysis, a proposal is presented that will make the population studied aware of the importance of using this resource adequately. The integrating project "Environmental Culture in the students of the school city of Santa Rosa, and its incidence in the preservation of water", is developed with the objective of determine the environmental culture of the children of this educational institution, from their habits and behaviors in the face of water protection; and, as an effect of the analysis, a proposal is presented that will make the population studied aware of the importance of using this resource adequately. The methodology used for the collection of the information is inductive, based on the qualitative analysis; in the first instance, it started with the quantitative: but basically it's qualitative, since the results of the investigative instruments used (observation and survey) allowed to know the habits and behavior of children in relation to water care; also, in accordance with this methodology, the focus of the project is inductive, inclined to the psychosocial field, because your try to determine the degree of knowledge and awareness of environmental culture, specifically in the care of water resources. The results of the research are not encouraging, since the knowledge regarding the care of the students' water is theoretically acceptable; however, his practice of environmental care is not correct. The Natural Sciences curriculum, established by MINEDUC, has contents on environmental care and water conservation; but it's evident that the teachers in their planning don't deepen this knowledge, hence it's inferred that the students don't meet the expected level of learning. The data collection and the respective analysis, led to propose the development of a pilot learning tool composed as follows: A printed document entitled Didactic Guide APRENDIPRO "Q" (Learn, have fun and protect) , designed for children of the initial and preparatory levels, which through play activities, such as games, murals, didactic workshops, among others, appropriate to their age and interests, seeks to get children knowledge about water resources and learn basic but meaningful actions for care and water saving. This didactic guide is accompanied by a CD, which will contain interactive software with topics related to water preservation, for the use of the Elemental and Media sub-levels; due to this age this resource is the most appropriate, also, this constitutes an important contribution to education since the technological era in which children are educated is based on the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), therefore it is a fun way to learn. Both the software and the recreational activities are presented with an interdisciplinary perspective, since they encompass the subjects and knowledge of the national curriculum.
