Culture, self-concept and psychosocial intervention in the Brazilian society


Abstract:

In this study the relationships are examined among the community groups of base and the operator group, according to the influence of the cultural rules and to the self-concept of the Brazilian people. This situation means the inter-penetrations among the cultural dimensions, the hegemonic political culture, the self-concept inter-dependent, and the predominant values as the resignation, the despair and a fatalistic vision in the sociopolitical reality of the country (Brazil). In this scenario, the psychosocial intervention in the community nets, on the part of professionals, becomes a relationship inter-group and asymmetric intercultural imMtely, making endo-group bias that interfere in the communication and understanding of the subjectivity of the exo-group. This relationship will be able to reproduce the socio-cultural rules and hegemonic political.
