Currículo por rincones y su influencia en el aprendizaje cognitivo en niños de 4 a 5 años


Abstract:

The curriculum through game corners is important since its application in the teaching- learning process lets children develop cognitive, motive, intellectual, linguistic, and social abilities. Besides, children acquire autonomy, independence, and creativity to do the different pedagogical activities given by the teacher. It is a very useful tool to get a dynamic work in the classroom and it is related with the role of the teacher who acts as a mediator or a facilitator in the classroom. The space distribution and the organization of the teaching will let each child to be his own learning constructor. The objective of this research work is to analyze the influence of the curriculum by means of game corners in the cognitive development in children from 4 to 5 years old at "HernánMalo Gonzales Kindergarten," comparing with the group of children at "San Blas Kindergarten" who work with the curriculum "Volemos Alto," where the teaching- learning process is based on the stages of the child’s development. By applying the different research techniques such as the observation card and the development observational scale Secadas, it was shown that the game corner improves the cognitive development of children.
