Curves of growth of two grasses put into Amazon Ecosystems

Abstract:

The introduction of species improved of pasture in the cattle ecosystems, besides of incrementing the biodiversity is an alternative to achieve the sustainability of the system. Work was carried out at Investigation's Station of Grass and Forages of Center of Investigation's and Postgrad's (CIPCA) belonging to the Amazon State University. With objective of determining the effect of the age on growth accumulated of Setaria splendida (honey pasture) and Brachiaria Hibrido vc Mulato in the Ecuadorian's Amazon conditions, was carried out linear regression analysis between the variables height (y: dependent) and the age ( x:independent ). Was utilized two parcels of 20 m2 in an Inseptisol soil. The cut of uniformity was effectuated June 20, 2013, to start from of there they began to measure the height to the 12 days, previously they were sectioned three plants: Her taller, one intermediates and her smaller, immediately were they measured every week to get to the 70 in each case. Quadratic models became established for each of the sorts. To 19 d obtained an accelerated growth at the rate of 2,58 and 2,32 cm/d, respectively. It concluded that exists a marked effect of them regrowth age on increased than to what extent that advanced the maturity of the plant there was an increment of this indicator.
