Cyber-physical system for quality control of spur gears through artificial vision techniques

Abstract:

This paper intends to implement and develop a platform oriented to Cyber-physical systems(CPS), through the integration of different kinds of devices such as a microcontroller, sensors and a IoT device. The prototype SECVIACPS uses free software and hardware to develop its operation, it could be accessible from any web browser with support of JavaScript. This platform will be focused for quality control of spur gear by utilizing technologies of artificial vision. Futhermore, the study was carried out on the applicability of the introduction of these cyberphysical systems in the Ecuadorian industry. For this, the processing time of the gears will be studied, achieving a low processing time per gear. Finally, the response time will be observed in the web application of the various actions input or output devices involved in that physical system, times to be analyzed in different types of local (intranet) and external (Internet) connections.
