Data Model-University Context: premise for agility, availability and Decision-Making supported by information

Abstract:

Considering the current legal framework, higher education institutions, with the intention of automating processes, integrating, and standardizing information, have implemented systems that access different data sources, which sometimes results in a multiplicity of databases that are difficult to sync and operate. From the perspective of software design, a data model can be built for the university context that complies with the provisions of the legal framework. This requires data stored in an integrated manner with as little redundancy as possible. In this context, a flexible data model is proposed that supports the modules of an integrated information system where the different management processes interact, and which allows the generation of information to help decision-making and improve the actions of the organization.
