Definition of an ICT management model to mitigate cyberbullying risk in social networks


Abstract:

The need to analyze the risks of cyberbullying that children and adolescents face through the use of social networks was determined. Given this, the problem focuses on the need to provide an ICT management model to mitigate the conflict situations to which users are exposed. It was used deductive and exploratory research w as a methodology to analyze information regarding the rates of users of social networks in Ecuador; in addition to establishing their ages. Turned out a conceptual model related to the development of digital skills, qualitative description in the handling of digital content by children and adolescents; as well as the qualitative description of digital content. It was concluded what is necessary to provide optimal environments for the development of digital skills or competences in children and adolescents in order to mitigate the risks of cyberbullying. In this way, it contributes to the efficient treatment of personal information indigital media.
