Delimitación de la actividad antibacterial del sphagnum magellanicum.

Abstract:

The objective of this research work is to evaluate the antibacterial activity of Sphagnum Magellanicum by preparing different types of aqueous, ethanolic and methanol substrates varying their concentrations to check the degree of inhibition of these substrates against the bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The applied experimentation is based on the different scientific researches carried out in other countries, taking into account the easy standardization and little degree of difficulty of the technique, the Kirby - Bauer technique is used, better known as antibiogram. To finally obtain different results and contrast them with theoretical calculations in this way, an optimum radius was established for which the substrate is effective.
