Abstract:

In the present investigation, we will report on the work done to know the level of involvement of children and adolescents in the parish spaces of the Paccha parish, in addition to the process developed to promote the participation of children and adolescents (NNA) in decision-making in the parish Paccha. • To advance in this process, the objective was to analyze the participation of children and adolescents in the processes of implementation of participatory budgets in the Paccha Parish. • Within the activities developed to carry out this process, a focus group of children and adolescents was created as an object of participatory action research studies in the Paccha parish. Within this focus group, 29 children and adolescents aged 11 to 17 participated. , which during 2 years (2016 - 2018) have been part of a process of citizen education, in addition to the involvement in participation events in order to generate protagonism for this group of actors and incorporate them into the parish decision making. • The goals identified to develop the research work were: 1. Define the motivations and impediments of the participation of children and adolescents in the construction and realization of participatory budgets. 2. Improve the participatory quality of children in the mechanisms of participation in the parish from alternative training methodologies. From this perspective, it was carried out: First: A participatory diagnosis, in addition to a survey with variables referring to the activities carried out by children and adolescents in the parish, as well as their vision of participation. Second. With the assistance and assistance of the Paccha Educational Unit, the Zonal Coordination 6 of Education and the Parochial GAD of Paccha, a focal group for the inclusion of children and adolescents in the debates given in the community, was established.
