Abstract:

The lack of solutions to the problem of disappearances of elderly people in our country, have become a drawback in the process of locating the person at risk by the authorities, taking into account the circumstances of bodily and mental health of these people, make the chances that one of these people enter into a situation of vulnerability increase, for which this project proposes the development of an IOT and Cloud tracking device that prevents the elderly incur a disappearance, The proposed design consists of a set of GPS and GSM modules on the Arduino platform, with the help of Android Studio software in conjunction with Firebase and associated Google Play service platforms, making possible the use of a mobile application GranPa Finder (GPF) that allows observing the movement of the person at risk in real time, It can also trace routes to the last known position in the monitoring cycle, as well as provide highly accurate reference locations and early and recurrent alerts so that family members and caregivers can be assured that the elderly person is not at risk.
