Abstract:

Due to the fact that technology is constantly advancing and with it the vulnerabilities that it entails, the security of information has been deemed necessary in the devices that connect daily to the internet worldwide. In order to reach this, many security projects have emerged and countless programs have been created to monitor the network in order to protect personal and valuable data from different devices connected to internet. As time goes by people and companies use technology for different purposes. Currently, the use of VPNs (Virtual Private Network) has increased, due to the security it offers since it extends through the network in an encrypted way for the safety of its users. That said, it was concluded the idea of presenting a project to monitor a business network for SMEs, finding vulnerabilities and apply a VPN server with constant monitoring in order to block any kind of unwanted intrusion to the corporate network and avoid ‘scam’ or of confidential data theft that transmitted by it. This project was developed taking into account small and big companies that want to acquire this service at low costs. To develop and implement this project, a Raspberry Pi 3 +B board was used, in which the IPFire perimeter security tool was installed and an OpenVPN security
