Accidentes de trabajo en la legislación ecuatoriana

Abstract:

Accidents at work are a common phenomenon in todays labor market, there is a progressive social awareness that they should not be accepted as an inevitable consequence of the job, being necessary to research the different variables and interactions that causes it, using approach models of precautionary and intervene, to establish a frame of reference that understands its appearance and improves the current situation. This research work optimal objective is to explain that health and safety at work are something more than just a prevention of accidents; it covers all aspects of the working conditions, in addition is essential to know that the procedures implemented in companies to protect the health and safety of workers are aimed to recognize different occupational hazards and some of the types of jobs that are associated generally to those risks; and analyzing the hazards that workers are prone to and the existences of these on their work places. Health and Safety at work intends to create conditions for the worker to perform its work efficiently and without risks, avoiding events and damage that may affect their health and integrity, the wealth assets of the entity and the environment, and thereby facilitating the quality of life of the worker, his family and social stability.
