Abstract:

The objective was the development and implementation of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applied to the PLC laboratory of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering in Automation Processes of the Technical University of Ambato, born from the need of access to information, of connecting industrial devices to the internet and the new technologies that introduce the solutions to improve the quality of the processes. This proposal reached the implementation of the IIoT applied to the process laboratory. The project consisted of making a web page where the data and states of the outputs and inputs of the Siemens 1200 PLC, a communication was made with the raspberry pi that contains all the softwares used to access the required information of the PLC, for the handling of data one of the IIoT protocol called Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) which allows to send and store in a database created in PhpMyAdmin, the presentation interface was made in Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), which allows to create web pages for remote data monitoring in any intelligent device that can access the internet, the system showed a latency of 0,6 milliseconds concluding in this way that obtaining and data monitoring is accessible and applied to industrial automation processes in a safe, reliable and quality of service manner. It is recommended to use open software for the development of the application.
