Desarrollo psicomotor en niños y niñas de 6 a 12 meses. Hospital Moreno Vázquez. Gualaceo -2017
Abstract:
BACKGROUND: In the first years of life. Psychomotor development is fundamental. For the acquisition of functions or abilities that follow a progressive, evolutionary, systematic, multidimensional and integral sequence. According to several studies there are a lot of children who do not comply with the proper development. For that is essential to detect the signs of alarm at an early age with an evaluation of their development. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the level of development of children aged 6 to 12 months who attend to an external consultation at Moreno Vázquez Hospital. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out. The technique used was observation, a data collection form was applied to the mothers and individual evaluation of psychomotor development for boys and girls from 6 to 12 months of age through the Denver II Test months, who attend to an external consultation at Moreno Vázquez Hospital. For the analysis and tabulation of the data we used: SPSS version 15 in Spanish,measures of central tendency and tables according to the variables. CONCLUSION: In our research according to the results of the Test Denver II, it was found that 36.7% had normal psychomotor development, 21.7% had abnormal psychomotor development and 41.7% had a doubtful psychomotor development. USE OF RESULTS: The results will be published in the database of the University of Cuenca for the knowledge of students and professionals of Early Stimulation and related careers, trying to raise awareness about the importance of early detection in the identification of alerts in development
