Desarrollo y evaluación de una experiencia piloto de mentoría con estudiantes de primer ciclo de educación superior a distancia


Abstract:

The present bibliographic work reveals the processes necessary to make effective mentoring in distance higher education, taking as reference the mentoring work carried out by the Technical University of Loja (UTPL). For this purpose a theoretical framework was developed in the which identify the different techniques and strategies to be applied in the development of mentoring as well as guidance needs in distance education. The concept of needs as orientation in this form of learning for its insertion and adaptation, of habits and strategies of study, of academic orientation, of personal orientation and of information is related. A Guidance and Mentoring Plan with elements and orientation of the same is defined, the conceptualization and analysis is detailed as a practical tool of mentoring, in addition, the methodology of bibliographical character was elaborated that served as base for the construction of the information; As well as the design of the research was developed to obtain information that is required in an investigation, a matrix of Strengths, Opportunities, Weaknesses and Threats (SWOT) of the mentoring process and a matrix of problems was finally determined.
