Desarrollo y validación del test de estrés laboral en médicos/as e internos/as del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca 2013

Abstract:

Title: Development and validation of the test of occupational stress in Doctors and Interns in Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, Cuenca 2013. Overall objective: To develop and validate an instrument to determine the occupational stress in Doctor and Interns in Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, Cuenca 2013. Method : Quantitative , descriptive, observational study, we developed the " Medic - stress " test which internal consistency was measured by judges, it was applied to 261 doctors and professional interns who work in the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca 2013. For the measurement of the internal validity of the diagnostic test, the Cronbach Alpha test was used and for the external validity it was used the test retest. Results: 65 doctors and interns (24.9 %) have acute stress, 134 have moderate stress (51.3%), and 62 have chronic stress (23.8%). The test is valid because the Cronbach's alpha is 0.940 Moreover, the correlation is 0.982. Conclusions: The "Medic - stress" scale has high internal consistency, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.940; therefore; it is a valid instrument to measure occupational stress in a hospital setting.
