Design and development of a 3d video game on android for brain training based on the stroop effect


Abstract:

The process of making video games integrates large multidisciplinary groups that are responsible for specific tasks: idea, history, character development, mechanics, type of game, platform, and coding. The development process for the development of a 3D video game for mobile devices called “Labyrinth of Empire” is detailed. Additionally, the proposal includes the application of the Stroop effect or Jaensch effect in order to improve the user’s concentration capacity through the combination of different visual technologies. Taking this aspect as a starting point an Android application is developed and by using the accelerometer of the mobile device the player’s concentration skills are improved through mazes that lead to train for it, additionally the game is developed as part of the history of the Inca culture.
