Design and implementation of a model pbkp_redictive control for a pressure control plant


Abstract:

In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a model pbkp_redictive control (MPC) applied to a real pressure plant, this variable is used in the industrial petroleum production and power generation. The designed controller is implemented in a PAC device (Programmable Automation Controller), it is used in the industry because PAC has industrial standards and industrial communication protocols. In this work is analyzed the performance of MPC controller, the results are compared with a PID controller. The MPC controller shows a better performance than the traditional PID controller. The parameters analyzed show less overshot, less setting time, improve the actuator operation, it is used to increase the actuator life time. This work present the improvement the operation process using this type of experimental applications, they can applied in the industry.
