Design of a carbon fiber toroidal canister for hydrogen cars using the finite element method and deep learning

Abstract:

The use of hydrogen in the automotive industry has generated the design of new pressure vessels for its storage; Conventional containers are metal cylinders that have low storage capacity and waste space in car trunks. Carbon fiber toroidal canisters are an alternative that would provide better performance. The design of a container that stores CNG will be taken and will be subjected to a redesign by means of finite elements (FEM) for the numerical and linear elastic analysis of the carbon fiber to be used, in addition, Threads will be used to accelerate the optimization process. and an Artificial Neural Network model will be developed so that it learns to estimate the volume of material needed.
