Design of a didactic guide to improve the listening of the english language
Abstract:
This research project is a consequence of an investigation at Ismael Pérez Pazmiño High School with the students of 8th school year. Through the interview, the teacher mentioned that listening class was the most difficult skill to work with, because the level of listening material was too high for the English level of the students. We decided to apply a survey to the students to claim the cause of the deficiency in listening class. We found out lack in the listening skill of students and listening comprehension even when the teacher applies the teaching method correctly. This project has bibliographic basis in order to give references of the investigation we had been carrying on, researches with their respective foundations such as pedagogical, linguistic, sociological and legal aspects to claim that our project would help in our proposal to solve the problematic we had found. In order to help the teacher’s weakest skill in students. The necessity to design a Cd with audios and a handbook with activities to increase the listening comprehension through intensive listening.
