Design of a mobile application that facilitates communication through sign language for people with hearing and vocal disabilities

Abstract:

This article presents a technological tool, based on a mobile application aimed at people with hearing and vocal disabilities; this was developed under agile methodologies in terms of software development, applying the respective phases; Its main objective is to improve the communication process between people who have this type of disability and those who do not. To evaluate its use, three types of tests were applied: Pre-test, test, post-test, in order to measure the basic knowledge and obtain the degree of satisfaction that the user presents when interacting with the mobile application; later perform the corresponding analysis and generate feedback about the effectiveness of it.
