Design of a prototype for automatic lighting control in classrooms at Faculty of Accounting and Administration Xalapa based on the IoT paradigm
Abstract:
This research is developed within the framework of the benefit granted by Intel through the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education, which provided the Universidad Veracruzana with 'Galileo' smart cards for the realization of projects under the IoT paradigm oriented to the development of intelligent campus. In this sense, and with the purpose of helping the Faculty of Accounting and Administration to advance towards automation, promoting the development of IoT projects and reaching a minimum of 90% sustainability; a prototype is proposed for the automatic control of lighting by implementing the use of the computer on a single board 'Intel Galileo' along with the Devkit with WiSOL Sigfox module with operation under the IoT paradigm, which is able to automate the lighting of the classroom, and thus reduce energy consumption, administrative costs and environmental impact.
