Design of an evaluative model of water supply service quality in irrigation systems
Abstract:
A methodology to evaluate water quality based on multicriteria procedures is applied to develop an evaluative model of the service quality of water supply in irrigation systems. The fact of having been obtained through the consensus of experts active in the area, all the factors involved in the process being taken into consideration, analyzed in a global and hierarchical form, makes it applicable to irrigation systems of different magnitude and performance, as well as to new and reformulated agricultural and irrigation projects. The hierarchy developed and its corresponding mathematical expression has a synthetically as well explicit character because it allows comparison of performance in different irrigation systems and also can be applied in order to define improvements in particular systems.
