Design of standalone BTS network for fire bureaus in urban areas via mixed-mode digital radio

Abstract:

A proposed Standalone BTS Network for Fire Bureaus in an entire province via Mixed-Mode Digital Radio, the whole system incorporates FDAS clients and Manual Call Points (MCPs) as sensor nodes connected wirelessly in star topology to their nearest Fire Protection Station that is acting as the Base Transceiver Station (BTS) of one or more municipalities and is networked using microwave digital radio to another neighboring BTS of another Fire Protection Station serving several other FDAS Clients and MCPs. The BTSs are connected in bus topology comprising several hops of microwave links. In this manner an alarm status in any client will be relayed to all member Fire Bureaus (BTS) that in turn could respond immediately.
