Design of the Strategic Planning Model, Based on the Prospective Analysis for the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE
Abstract:
Strategic planning under the classic schemes at the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas has played an important role until now. Currently, planning units must adapt to planning systems and methodologies in accordance with legal guidelines, state formats, and the Institution's statutes, making their monitoring and unification extremely complex tasks. The objective of this research is to propose the theoretical elements and methodological components for a strategic planning model, from the prospective analysis, for the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE, based on a previously made diagnosis. For the process of elaboration of the same, theoretical and empirical methods were used, and treatment of the information by means of a panel of experts, in their Delphi technique; The model has in its central structure a prospective planning process, and its adaptation to the specificities of this higher education center. It is delimited, under premises and interrelationships of the activity of the institution under study, and its validity and functionality was validated by a panel of experts, in two circulations of application of the Delphi technique. The practical contribution of this research will later be evidenced in the improvement of the academic and scientific standards of the institution, if implemented. For future related research, it is suggested to replicate the model and its viability for private universities, making the respective adjustments and fine-tuning, which would give new impetus to the research presented here.
