Abstract:

Introduction Desquamative interstitial pneumonia (DIP) is a rare form of smoking-related interstitial lung disease (SR-ILD) characterized by accumulation of pigmented macrophages in the alveoli. We present a case of DIP diagnosed through reevaluation in and multidisciplinary team. Case report A 61-year-old female, previously a heavy smoker (50 pack-years), presented with a 10-year history of dyspnea.
