Abstract:

Purpose Central Nervious System (CNS) infections caused by HumanHerpesviruses may lead to severe clinical implications. Among the HumanHerpesviruses are listed: Herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 (HSV1 and HSV2), Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV), Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Human Herpes Virus 6 (HHV6).
