Determinantes sociales de la salud familiar y comunitaria en la parroquia de Chiquintad en el período 2010-2011
Abstract:
Social determinants are understood as the social conditions in which people live and work. Their study provides explained the health-disease process in a population. The objective was, to establish the characteristics of the health-disease process and its determinants in the Parish Chiquintad. Materials and method : A descriptive study was conducted. Based on information from 549 family records, it was categorized to families at three levels of risk: high, medium, and low the socio-economic field, poor sanitary and biological. Conclusions: The high level of risk is minimal. The average risk is notorious in San Andrés - eucalyptus, Tixan, Xilon, Bellavista, San Andrés, San Antonio and Cristo del Consuelo. The majority of heads of families are young adults, men in the structured; in the destructured women. The fourth part of them are illiterate; one quarter are unemployed. The socio-economic risk is notorious in Chiquintad. Hygienic Risk health: there is no potable water; 100% of families are in inadequate housing; a third party in overcrowding. Premium the septic tank and not waste disposal by car collector. The biological risk is visible; there are overweight and nutritional deficit. The third part of children have incomplete series of vaccination; there was a significant percentage of early pregnancies and of low birth weight. Cardiovascular diseases, stroke, or blood pressure affect the third part of families. Identified disability, domestic violence, alcoholism, and drug addiction. The situation in Chiquintad is critical, aggravated reflection of what is happening in Ecuador.
