Determinar el panel de embarazo en la primera consulta de las gestantes de la consulta externa del Centro de Especialidades Central Cuenca- IESS en el año 2017. Cuenca 2018


Abstract:

Background: prenatal care is one of the pillars of public health, since its praxis has had beneficial effects in the mother-child binomial. Objective: to determine the pregnancy panel in the first consultation of the pregnant women attended in the outpatient clinic of the Centro de Especialidades Central Cuenca-IESS in 2017. Materials and methods: quantitative, observational, descriptive study. A total of 411 patients met the inclusion criteria. The analysis of the information was made through the SPSS 15 MB program. The data were presented using personalized tables, depending on the type of variables frequencies and percentages (qualitative) and mean and standard deviation (quantitative) were applied. The corresponding bioethical procedures were applied. Results: 41.1% of patients were in an age range of 25 to 29 years (mean 27.9, SD ± 3.98), 44.5% had higher education, 67.6% lived in urban areas and 56% were married. 56.7% attended their first check-up before 12 weeks of gestation. Of the 10 exams described in the regulations, 29.7% of traffickers requested 7 exams (average of 6.6, SD ± 1.7), in terms of exams performed, 28.7% of patients performed 6 of them (mean of 5.2, SD ± 2.02). Overall compliance with the request for laboratory tests was of 61.40% and the total percentage of examinations performed by the patients was 55.1%. The most requested tests are: VDRL with 78.6%, HIV with 74.9%, biometrics in 89.6%, glucose 84.9%, elementary and microscopic urine in 91.7% and ultrasound in 98.1%. However, those that are requested less frequently are: typing in 94.4%, dental examination in 80%, and hepatitis test in 67.4%.
