Determination of the nitrogen and potassium requirements of sugarcane by chemical analysis.
Abstract:
Results of 35 sugarcane field experiments in Cuba show that soil exchangeable K extracted with 1 N NH 4 OAc (pH 7) is a sensitive, rapid and precise method for estimating the K requirements of sugarcane. Neither total N nor hydrolyzable N gave accurate results for N requirement determination.
