Determination of the potential erosion for agricultural management by means of map algebra
Abstract:
The proposal of this research was to update the standard used in Cuba to determine the potential erosion by means of the differential calculation of this phenomenon within the microbasins and not only associated with the closure of them, and also to evaluate the application of this standard as a hazards criterion of potential erosion within the agricultural territory management and the studies of hazards, vulnerabilities and risks that are carried out in Cuba. Geographical Information Systems with multicriteria information in raster format were used and spatial indicators were applied to obtain synthetic maps by means of map algebra. Due to the current development, all the information could be obtained in 25-meter cells to perform geoprocessing.
