Development of Research Competences in Students of the Tourism Measurement

Abstract:

The article describes a strategy for the development of the research competence of the students of the Tourism career, of the Technical University of Babahoyo. To investigate the current state of this competition, theoretical and empirical methods were used. The results showed that although the faculty is sensitized with the problem and the study plan favors its development, most students have difficulties in the functional and structural domain of the investigative skills and, in general, in the investigative behavior, so a coordinated work is required to solve this, because research is one of the fundamental components of the academy in higher education
