Diagnostic Previous to the Design of a Network of Medium-Sized University Campuses: An Improvement to the Methodology of Santillán-Lima


Abstract:

Updating the telecommunications infrastructure design methodology for medium-sized university campuses, as a case study of the Bolívar State University, through a previous diagnosis focuses on analyzing the different campuses as a whole and then subdividing them and analyzing in detail the behavior of each one. Components of the network which allows the reuse of equipment and put the network operational with simple adjustments in the physical infrastructure as well as great budget savings. This article proposes an improvement to the Methodology for the design of telecommunications infrastructure for medium-sized university campuses and demonstrates a significant improvement in terms of access to services and compliance with institutional accbkp_reditation parameters, as well as a reduction in costs.
