Different morphologies of silver nanoparticles as catalysts for the selective oxidation of styrene in the gas phase

Abstract:

Silver nanoparticles of different morphologies were prepared using the polyol process and then dispersed on α-alumina. Catalysts were tested for the selective oxidation of styrene in the gas phase. Activity and selectivity were strongly dependent on the morphology of the silver nanoparticles. © 2004 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
