Digestibility "In vivo" by Pelibuey sheep from diets on the basis of Pasto Saboya
Abstract:
The work was carried out at the experimental farm "La Maria", belonging to the Universidad Técnica de Quevedo, Ecuador, under a completely random from five treatments design (100 % grass Savoy; 70 % of Grass Savoy and banana peel 30 %; 70 % of Grass Savoy and 30 % in passion fruit Peel; 70 % of pasture Savoy with 15 % of banana peel and 15 % in passion fruit peel) with the aim of assessing the consumption and digestibility "In vivo" Grass Savoy tedding and blends with passion fruit and banana peel. The analysis of the chemical composition reflected significant differences for crude fiber, ether extract and nitrogen free ether extract, allowing the use of agro-products (banana peel and passion fruit) in the diets of sheep Pelibuey when availability forage is scarce. The nutrient digestibility was similar in treatment, suggesting that 30 % incorporation of agro-industrial products did not affect the use by sheep. Differentiation of the diets obtained by discriminant analysis was determined by the increased incidence of variables ether extract digestibility and digestibility of nitrogen-free extract.
