Direct torque control of the switched reluctance motor using a variable structure fuzzy controller
Abstract:
This work presents a control scheme for the switched reluctance motor that combines the principles of direct torque control, space vector modulation and variable structure fuzzy control, in order to produce a simple and robust high performance controller. Simulation results show that this scheme produces a significant reduction in steady state stator flux, stator current and generated torque ripples. A good dynamic response is obtained operating the power stage with a constant commutation frequency.
