Direction Finding in Spectral Monitoring System Using Uniform Circular Array

Abstract:

In the field of Telecommunications, the location and positioning of interested signals and the transmitters associated with them, present multiple applications in private sector or for military projects. This paper presents the recovery and reuse of a spectrum monitoring system with circular array antennas. The power response’s data of 4 field tests is exposed. Finally, the capacity and limitations for each performed test are analyzed. It is verified that the system works optimally in a 320∘ coverage with the purpose of direction finding and there is not decrease in the functional capacities due to the project’s hardware modification.
