Diseño arquitectónico del centro de atención integral de adolescentes varones-Loja

Abstract:

This work is aimed at the proposal of a new Detention Centre for underage infractors for the province of Loja. To accomplish this, the first step was to diagnose the current conditions of the existent building, noticing that it does not satisfy the demands of the current legislation, as to the infrastructure, nor the basic conditions that it is supposed to offer to its interns. After following the Logic Frame approach to identify the main shortages in the existing center, a new project is proposed, one that can reach the construction, infrastructure, zonification, health and environmental conditions required for a correct rehabilitation process. The main goal of the center is to emulate a scholar environment, where the teenagers are offered the correct tools to meditate about their behavior and be prepared for their future reinsertion back into society, instead of being a simple place of confinement.
