Actitudes y prácticas sobre el Parto Vertical, en el Hospital Luis Fernando Martínez, Cañar 2018
Abstract:
Background: currently, vertical positions in childbirth are becoming widespread, where health personnel must provide care with favorable attitudes and positive practices regarding the different positions, allowing to increase their competence and confidence towards the user in the free position chosen at the time of work of childbirth. Objective: determine the attitudes and practices of health personnel in vertical delivery care, Hospital Luis Fernando Martínez, Cañar 2018. Method and Materials: descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach; With a finite universe constituted by 84 people that make up the health personnel of the Hospital Luis Fernando Martínez, for the collection of the data the survey elaborated and validated by Rodríguez H. (2015) was applied. The results were analyzed through the SPSS 22 program and presented in absolute frequencies, percentages and measures of average dispersion (X). Results: 45.3% of the studied population corresponds to the adult age group, of the female gender (85.7%), with a prevalence of professional nursing staff (36.9%) and nursing assistants (34.6%); with favorable attitudes to provide care and receive training in vertical delivery care by 75%; however, they consider that the vertical delivery care generates discomfort in the health personnel during the attention in 82.1%.
