Diseño de estrategias con perspectiva de género para la reducción de la invisibilización del aporte de la mujer indígena en el desarrollo de la comunidad SHUID, Parroquia Guasuntos, Cantón Alausi, Provincia Chimborazo.

Abstract:

The social construction of gender violence has a long history, based on a cultural patriarchal pattern that positions the male gender in a superior status and with an advantage in relation between man and the pre-judged woman who is consider as an inferior human being. This social pattern is found institutionalized and consolidated inside a capitalist and neoliberalist model, especially with policies that vanish and impoverish all the contributions done by the most humble women and the development that borns from their localities. The purpose of this study focuses on characterizing the invisibilization of the contribution made by the women to the local development of Shuid, through this ethnographic methodology that has allowed us a closer look to the sociocultural phenomena that was observed by first hand, visualizing that effectively all the characteristics of the invisibilization are gender discrimination in a high-ranking space on the diverse Board of Directors such as the cabildo (council), or the Board of Directors of potable water and irrigation amount them, also the naturalization of violence against women and scholar desertion, the overload of hard work, the devaluation or minimization of all the productive activities of women, and the limitation for women among the decision taking. The identification of this issue allowed us to consider mitigation strategies from a gender perspective. Being these: the generation of spaces that were made for leadership training and XI organizational management, also the promotion of new leadership profiles focused on gender approach and generational approach, and the promotion of gender equality in different organizational structures, in a way that contributes to overcome the discrimination and all the gender violence.
