Active methodology in the construction of mathematical knowledge


Abstract:

The present education needs to maximize knowledge construction processes, in order to get critics, loved, caring and thoughtful human beings. It is required to propose active methodologies grounded in constructivist contributions of teachers and philosophical thinkers. Mistakenly thought to build knowledge is only transmitting divided ideas, dismantling important pedagogical processes, the article proposes developing active methodology in the construction of mathematical knowledge. For this we have proposed an active methodology that begins with storytelling and motivational stories to formulate the problem; then interactively students in the company of teachers identify and solve critical data and formulas supplemented with Christian teaching of human values.
