Actividad camaronera en el país y su aportación económica, periodo 2015-2018.

Abstract:

Shrimp is considered as one of the products with the most significant contribution to the country's economy. According to the Central Bank of Ecuador, it is certified as the second group product of traditional non-oil products that generates the highest income through its exports. This research is focused on studying the shrimp farming activity in the country and its economic contribution in the period 2015-2018. As a general objective, it was proposed to analyze the financial contribution of shrimp farming in Ecuador and its impact on the environment. For the development of the research, different techniques and tools were applied, such as observation, survey, and as an instrument, the structured questionnaire according to the Likert scaling method to measure the reaction of the shrimp companies among different aspects treated. Moreover, the brainstorming technique, the cause-effect diagram, and an improvement plan were established according to the 5w 2H procedure, pretending to solve the existing shortcomings in the shrimp sector.
