Abstract:

Gerontology is a science dedicated to the study of all aspects of age and aging of the population. As people age, their health becomes more fragile, from physical to mental, and many times they require special and high-precision care that the family sometimes cannot or cannot provide. The purpose of this descriptive and analytical work in the El Morro Parish is that according to the INEC census (2010) in addition to the data obtained from the field study, the elderly residents of the parish report deprivation in 10% of the population. such facilities to meet the needs of this part of the population; Studies have shown that this type of equipment is widely recognized to meet these needs; For this reason, based on criteria obtained through interviews with experts and the analysis of an analogous model of this type of building, the El Morro Parish. The Comprehensive Gerontology Center is dedicated to researching patients and promoting their physical, cognitive, mental, and emotional development
