Diseño de un centro de desintoxicación y rehabilitaciòn de drogas en Durán

Abstract:

Durán is a canton of Guayas province, in Ecuador, it is part of Planning Zone #8 together with the cantons of Guayaquil and Samborondon, both connected by the bridge of national unity, It is an example of the fight against the consumption and sale of drugs, being a pioneer in creating an ordinance, that sanctions the illicit practice of these substances in public spaces, and that whoever fails to comply has the obligation to attend a program of information, prevention and control of the use and consumption of drugs (Ordains GADMCD-2016-003-O Cap. III Art. 6). According to the study of the Technical Secretariat for Drug Prevention (SETED), Durán is one of the cantons where drugs with a high addictive power are consumed, such as the "H" (drug basically composed of heroin, caffeine and diltiazem), with 5.00% consumption rate, unlike the Guayaquil canton that owns 4.89% in the same type of drug (El Telégrafo, 2017).It causes that more than preventive measures are taken to xvii avoid this social problem, a physical space is needed for the treatment of people who use drugs and need to rehabilitate themselves, that is why the Center for Detoxification and Rehabilitation for people with drug problems in Durán is proposed with the intention of mitigating the harmful effects that drugs cause in society especially in the field of study, this project seeks to give a solution from the point of view of architectural design taking into account the spatial needs for the treatment of addicted patients.
