Diseño de un proceso de electrocoagulación para el tratamiento de aguas residuales de una industria de yogurt
Abstract:
The Quito is city in recent years has increased and improved monitoring of environmental quality, which is why all the industries operating in the city whether small or large, are subject to various controls on the form in which discharge wastewater. The milk industry or its derivatives generate large amount of water discharge processes, usually using physical-chemical treatment techniques. In this research technique for the treatment of waste water, which has not yet been fully studied, Electrocoagulation is an electrochemical technique that allows the destabilization of emulsions and is a good choice for the treatment of wastewater in yogurt industry. For the research a sample of waste water were taken from yogurt industry, water characterization study was performed, an electrocoagulation reactor was built and took out a series of tests to determine the best treatment operating parameters included in the experimental design. To determine the efficiency of treatment was make an analysis laboratory of treated water, where the percentage removal was observed certain parameters. In conclusion, the electrocoagulation process is entirely viable to improve wastewater quality of the yogurt industry, besides being economically feasible to implement the present study.
